The app’s design faithfully recreates the intricate engineering and art of Victorian pop-up books, replacing paper creations with digital ones. Telling the Apex story by reacting to users’ fingertips, the app allows users to turn pages and watch pop-up features take shape. Once a two-page spread is open, the user can manipulate tabs and open flaps to interact with the story. The mechanics of the pop-up features are accurately modeled on books from the Victorian era, when such creations were particularly popular.
